DESCRIPTION |
The role of the Occupational Therapist is to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient/family physical therapy needs for patients aged neonate/infant (birth to 1 year), pediatric (1-12 years), adolescent (12-18), adult (18-65 years), and geriatric (over 65 years); maintains documentation on patient treatments; and directs the work of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and Rehab Aides. The Occupational Therapist demonstrates commitment to professional growth and development; provides health education to patients, families and other health care providers; applies knowledge of growth and development in patient interaction; and contributes to the efficient operations of the department. |
